About Carol Wright, LMT, Myokinistetic Practitioner

Meet Your Therapist

Carol Wright, LMT, Myokinistetic Practitioner is a licensed massage therapist with over 18 years of hands-on experience. She combines therapeutic massage with advanced training in the Myokinesthetic System to help clients reduce pain, restore movement, and improve overall function.

Before becoming a massage therapist, Carol worked as a Radiology Technician and was cross-trained in laboratory work. Her medical background provides her with a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the clinical side of healthcare—knowledge she applies directly to her massage and MYK treatments.

Carol’s Story

Carol’s journey into massage therapy began with her own struggle with chronic pain. While working in a clinical setting, she was asked to lift a quadriplegic patient and suffered a severe lower back injury. The incident resulted in four back surgeries, five years on workers’ compensation, and three years on disability.

Living with constant pain and limited mobility changed Carol’s life. But during massage school, receiving regular treatment helped ease her pain more than anything else had. Experiencing firsthand how powerful bodywork could be inspired her to dedicate her career to helping others find the relief she once searched for.

Therapeutic Approach

Carol’s massage sessions are customized to each client’s needs and often blend multiple therapeutic methodologies. She may incorporate:

  • Myofascial work for releasing restrictions in the connective tissue
  • Reflexology for stress to support nervous system balance
  • Lymphatic massage to assist circulation and reduce inflammation
  • Sports massage techniques for mobility and injury recovery
  • Firm pressure for chronic tension and deep discomfort
  • Tool-assisted techniques (similar to Graston) when helpful

Carol’s goal is always the same: reduce pain, support healing, and provide meaningful, lasting change—not just temporary relief.

Advanced Training in the Myokinesthetic System (MYK)

In 2016, Carol pursued advanced education in the Myokinesthetic System, a nerve-based, posture-focused treatment designed to correct imbalances at their neurological source.

Today, she is a Certified Myokinistetic Practitioner, a distinction held by fewer than 400 practitioners in the United States. MYK is especially effective for clients experiencing pain related to posture, nerve irritation, muscle imbalance, or chronic dysfunction.

For many people who have tried physical therapy, chiropractic care, medications, or traditional massage without long-term success, MYK offers an alternative that often achieves what other treatments could not.

Carol brings both her clinical background and her personal experience to her MYK practice, offering clients a therapeutic approach grounded in science, empathy, and real results.
